Educational Support

Educational Support

at Navigating Day Treatment Center

We understand that academic success is a critical component of a child's well-being. Our educational support services are designed to meet each youth's unique needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans. Here's how we integrate education into our day treatment services:

Understanding IEPs and 504 Plans

IEP Individualized Education Program

A legally binding document for students qualifying for special education services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It outlines educational goals, accommodations, and modifications tailored to the student's needs.

504 504 Plan

Designed for students with disabilities who do not qualify for special education under IDEA but still require accommodations to thrive academically under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This plan includes necessary modifications and support in the school environment.

How Navigating Day Treatment Supports Education

Collaboration with Schools

We partner with local school districts to align our therapeutic services with educational requirements outlined in each child's IEP or 504 Plan, ensuring seamless integration of services.

Academic Support

Dedicated academic assistance is provided as part of our treatment program. This includes homework help, tutoring, and specialized instruction tailored to help youth effectively engage with their school curriculum.

Educational Services

Skill Development:

Our treatment program enhances social skills, emotional regulation, and coping strategies that are crucial for success in the classroom and beyond. We empower youth to advocate for themselves and navigate their educational experiences effectively.

Family Involvement:

Families are encouraged to participate in the educational process by attending meetings regarding their child's IEP or 504 Plan. Our team offers guidance and support in understanding their rights and available resources.

Monitoring Progress:

Ongoing monitoring of youth progress is conducted through feedback from school personnel, our staff, and families. Treatment plans are adjusted as needed to ensure that youth receive the support necessary to achieve their educational goals.
